The personal information provided through this nomination form may relate to you, the person you are nominating, and other people associated with the nominated property. This may include names, addresses, contact details, photographs, information about the property and work required, and other information relevant to assessing the nomination.

assess the nomination;

contact the nominee and/or nominator where required;

determine eligibility for the Free Trade Day program;

coordinate volunteers, tradespeople, suppliers and partner organisations involved in providing assistance; and

administer and evaluate the Free Trade Day program.

If we do not receive sufficient information, we may be unable to properly assess the nomination or provide assistance.

If you indicate that we may tell the nominee who nominated them, we may share your name with them. Otherwise, we will keep your identity confidential wherever reasonably practicable.

We may share relevant personal information with authorised Free Trade Day committee members, Lions Club members, volunteers, participating tradespeople, contractors, suppliers and partner organisations where reasonably necessary to assess the nomination or provide assistance. We will only share information reasonably required for that purpose. We will not sell personal information or use it for unrelated marketing purposes.

Where practicable, you should ensure the nominee is aware that you are submitting a nomination and is comfortable with you providing their personal information. Please do not provide sensitive information, such as detailed medical or health information, unless it is reasonably necessary for the nomination and the nominee has agreed to you providing it.

By uploading photographs, you confirm that you are entitled to provide them and that they accurately represent the nominated property and the work requiring attention. Photographs submitted with a nomination will not be used for promotional or publicity purposes without separate permission.

We take reasonable steps to protect the personal information we hold from loss, misuse, unauthorised access or disclosure. We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to administer the Free Trade Day program, meet applicable legal requirements and maintain appropriate organisational records. When personal information is no longer required, we will take reasonable steps to securely destroy or de-identify it.
